Ms. Demeter has previous experience coordinating, managing and directing assessment initiatives and program evaluations as a result of her work on several federally-funded projects.  She also assisted numerous doctoral students in successfully completing their dissertation research. She gained administrative experience working in temporary roles in support of assessment efforts in preparation for Middle States Commission for Higher Education (MSCHE) accreditation activities as both Coordinator of Assessment and Research for the Division of Student Affairs at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey; as well as Director of Assessment for Cumberland County College, where she also served as Accreditation Liaison Officer on behalf of MSCHE.

In addition to her assessment work, Marylee accumulated teaching experience in post-secondary education, serving as Adjunct Professor of Educational Psychology, Student Success Development, and Lifespan Development for Middlesex County College in Edison, NJ. Most notably, she spearheaded planning, production, and moderation of the SAAL Structured Conversations, a series of interactive webinars on a variety of current topics of concern to SAA professionals.

Through her work on the PDC, she coordinated development of curriculum guides for an open course on SAA assessment, and was instrumental in collaborations between SAAL and Colorado State University online to transform and develop the course for online administration. The course is set to launch April 17, 2017. Marylee continues volunteering with the PDC, and collaborates across Committees assisting in several exiting initiatives planned for 2017.

Outside of her passion and commitment to higher education, Marylee enjoys biking, the Jersey shore, live music, and serves as commissioner for her Fantasy Baseball league.
